Paul Holmes MP and Chesterfield Liberal Democrats: Listening to and Fighting for Chesterfield

St Helen's

The St Helen's Focus Team includes your Chesterfield Borough Councillors Keith Lomas and Roy Pastoll.

The Liberal Democrat team are always happy to hear from you with your local problems and queries: we'll do our best to help!

Parking Problems

Hazelhurst Lane and Canal Wharf are badly affected by parked cars.

We are fighting to get parking restrictions in the area

Residents have asked us to investigate the possibility of getting a residents' parking scheme or other parking restrictions. Labour-run derbyshire County Council's highways department have decided that a new traffic scheme will only go up to Wharf Lane and we are worried that the cars will be moved down onto Canal Wharf and Hazelhurst Lane making parking there even worse. Your local Lib Dem Councillors Keith Lomas and Roy Pastoll are working hard to try and make the county Council extend their current scheme, or get other measures in place for the residents of these roads.

Waiting restrictions are needed on new Queen Street

Cllrs Lomas and Pastoll are fighting to get residents parking on New Queen St, Princess St and Madin St.

Hard-working local Lib Dem Councillors Keith and Roy are fighting on your behalf to get the County Council to add New Queen Street, Madin Street and Princess Street into the first phase of their new parking scheme. We have been informed that these streets are not to be included in phase one which will introduce residents' parking and waiting restrictions to a number of streets in the area. We will continue to lobby them on your behalf and will keep you updated as soon as we hear any news.
